Whirlpool 2024 Global Kickoff Event

JV Studios teams up with The Whirlpool Corporation and the Global Leadership team to produce their 2024 global kick-off meeting. With a worldwide viewership surpassing 10,000 participants in both the live stream and in-person attendance, it was imperative to flawlessly execute this event. With the collaboration of our event partners, we turned the seemingly challenge into a reality.

Our team was hired to produce the annual Whirlpool “Play to Win” Global 2024 Kickoff event, held at the Whirlpool Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan. An annual gathering hosted by Whirlpool's esteemed leadership, including CEO & Chairman Marc Bitzer, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer Jim Peters, and Executive Vice President & Corporate Relations and Sustainability Pam Klyn, this event transcends borders, inviting employees from around the world to join the internal meeting.

Participants were treated to comprehensive insights into the company's performance, with specific employees & groups receiving well-deserved recognition and trophies for their outstanding contributions. Attendees also had the privilege of being let in on the latest company news, setting the tone for an impactful year ahead in 2024.

Merz Apothecary Smallflower Brand Story

Merz Apothecary Smallflower

A retail store wanted to incorporate the story of their 147-year-old business into their e-commerce site’s content marketing. JV Studios produced a video and handled all the production from start to finish.

The Challenge: The marketplace is crowded, and e-commerce is a complicated business, so it is hard for them to compete with Amazon. Many of their products are sold by other retailers, but they believe that more people want to put their money toward businesses with unique stories.

Although they keep the two businesses separate, we were trying to incorporate Merz Apothecary’s story into our content marketing around Smallflower to concisely and compellingly tell our customers that when they order a product, it’s coming from a 147-year-old store in Chicago. We needed to tell that story through video, so they called JV Studios to help with that.

The Process: We initially had lunch with the Merz team to talk about the store. We scouted the store, experienced it, and spoke to their brother-in-law, who currently runs it. We soaked up the store's essence and worked collaboratively with Greta to figure out what story we’d tell. It took a while, but once we had the direction established, we shot on-site at the store.

Our team brought in our crew and equipment. The only thing we didn’t handle in-house was the voiceover because Greta’s husband is a sound engineer, so they recorded it. The voice talent was Greta’s father-in-law, the CEO and star of the video.

The Results: They were creative and generous collaborators. They had great impulses and intuition and were excellent listeners. Overall, they were absolutely professional in the execution, so it was an outstanding collaboration.

At this point, we don’t have quantitative data to share. We did an awareness video, and we’re starting to use it in a couple of different ways. We haven’t run it as an ad, but we have plans to cut it down into shorter bits that we’ll be able to run.

The goal of the project was to further expand the footprint of their e-commerce sales. Combined with a sound distribution plan, the project was executed without a hitch and immediately began contributing to higher web traffic and increased revenue.

Nauzene Kids

JV Studios created three video ads for an advertising agency. They managed the casting, location scouting, shooting, and audio mixing and delivered 30, 15, and six-second videos.

The intention of the project was to showcase the product’s ability to effectively relieve stomach pain in a fun and engaging way through family humor and playful parenting.

SeaDek Brand Story

SeaDek Marine Products

JV Studios teamed up with SeaDek Marine Products to capture a brand story highlighting a behind-the-scenes look at the manufacturing process, from the SeaDek factory to the lifestyle application and experiences it provides for its customers.
The shoot took place across three days in Rockledge and Merritt Island, Florida. The goal of this video was to create brand awareness around the SeaDek brand and to build a loyal base of customers.
The Challenge: SeaDek Marine Products reached out to us to help conceptualize a new look and feel for the SeaDek brand. Since new competitors have emerged in the market, they wanted to take an approach to separate them from the rest. Since SeaDek is and always will be the leading manufacturer of marine flooring, it was important to showcase their process, how the products are made, and how they translate the customers experience when applied to their boat.
The Process: We worked closely with their marketing team to ensure our ideas were on brand. After we got the green light, our team went ahead and started conceptualizing the script, casting talent, scouting locations, and sourcing the right crew. Since a majority of the shoot was outside, we had to consider the weather and how it could potentially influence filming. After filming for three days in Florida, our team took all the footage and built the edit, scored the music, colored graded the footage, and mastered the audio.
The Results: SeaDek was very excited to launch this video. Not only did it serve as a strong brand piece, but it is something they had never done before. With trust, we guided them in the right direction, and the video was shared all across their social channels organically and embedded on their website.
